Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Maintenance

  • Perform daily monitoring and operation of RHVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, and ventilation equipment.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise system downtime.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair RHVAC equipment and components.
  • Monitor system parameters such as temperature, pressure, humidity, and energy usage.

2. Technical & Mechanical Duties

  • Inspect and maintain refrigerant levels; perform leak detection and repairs.
  • Conduct calibration of sensors, thermostats, and BMS/HVAC controls.
  • Replace filters, belts, motors, coils, and other mechanical parts as needed.
  • Support chiller plant operations including routine checks and system optimisation.
  • Assist in resolving electrical and mechanical faults in cooling systems.

3. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure RHVAC operations comply with local building codes and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain records of refrigerant usage and ensure safe handling procedures.
  • Participate in safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Assist in emergency response procedures related to facility systems.

4. Vendor & Contract Management

  • Coordinate with external contractors for servicing, repairs, and upgrading works.
  • Review service reports and verify completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to service-level agreements.

5. Energy & Efficiency Management

  • Track and analyse energy consumption for cooling systems.
  • Recommend and support implementation of energy-saving measures.
  • Optimise operational schedules through BMS to reduce energy wastage.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment records, and service documentation.
  • Prepare monthly reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
  • Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and RHVAC consumables.

7. Project Support

  • Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new RHVAC equipment.
  • Support facility upgrade, renovation, or improvement projects.
  • Provide technical insights for RHVAC system design enhancements.

Requirements

  • NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in RHVAC maintenance or building services.
  • Good understanding of safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Class 3 Driving License required
