Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and scale ingredients according to recipes and production schedules
  • Mix, knead, ferment, shape, and bake various types of bread and artisanal loaves
  • Produce a range of pastries including cakes, tarts, puff pastries, and desserts
  • Decorate pastries with professional finishing techniques (piping, glazing, garnishing)
  • Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, sheeters, ovens, and proofers
  • Maintain product quality, consistency, taste, texture, and appearance
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist in creating new bakery and pastry products

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a baker or pastry cook 
  • Interest in bread and pastry craftsmanship
  • Ability to work shift schedules
  • Good teamwork skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail, quality, and presentation
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
