The System Analyst will be responsible for analyzing Java-based applications, preparing high-quality technical documentation, and bridging business and technical requirements. This role involves reviewing source code, writing SQL queries, and collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure effective solution delivery. The analyst will play a key role in payment systems projects, focusing on system architecture, functional and non-functional requirements, and end-to-end flows.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Analysis
    • Perform analysis on payment solutions projects, covering system architecture, requirements, and flows.
    • Work with cross-functional teams on solution, functional, and technical design across project phases.
    • Propose alternative solutions to improve performance and meet business needs.
  • Documentation
    • Develop and review technical specifications and design documents.
    • Ensure solutions align with functional requirements and industry standards.
  • Vendor & Quality Management
    • Manage vendors, facilitate quality reviews, and provide recommendations.
    • Ensure deliverables meet project standards.
  • Testing Support
    • Review test strategies and plans for Unit Testing, System Testing, SIT, and UAT.
    • Support testing during SIT, UAT, and post-implementation phases.
  • Process Improvement
    • Analyze existing SDLC processes and recommend improvements.
    • Provide regular reporting to project managers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Core Skills
    • Knowledge of Cross-Border Payments and CBPR+ standards.
    • Familiarity with MEPS+ and domestic payment processing.
    • Understanding of SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 MX message formats, including mapping and migration.
    • Experience in payment systems, financial messaging, or banking transformation projects.
    • Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements in payment messaging.
  • Experience with Java, Spring Framework, SpringBoot, Java libraries, and Oracle DB.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
    • 6–7 years of experience in system or technical analysis within the banking industry.
    • Hands-on experience preparing functional and technical specifications.
    • Experience across the full SDLC with medium to large-scale implementations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clear documentation ability.
    • Vendor management expertise.
    • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience in project planning and managing small teams.
