Lead / Principal Instrument Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead Instrumentation & Control (I&C) engineering activities for offshore oil & gas projects.
- Prepare, review, and approve engineering documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Design and support instrumentation, control, safety, and ICSS systems.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with client requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Lead technical reviews, bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and package integration activities.
- Support project activities such as HAZOP, SIL studies, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup.
- Monitor project progress, identify technical risks, and provide effective solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers.
- Drive engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
- At least 10-15 years of Instrumentation & Control engineering experience in offshore oil & gas projects.
- Proven experience with FPSOs, offshore platforms, floating production facilities, and brownfield projects.
- Proven experience in FEED, detailed design, project execution, commissioning, and startup.
- Experience leading engineering teams or acting as a discipline lead on EPC/EPCI projects.
- Good knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, API, ISO, NORSOK, and classification society requirements.
- Experience with control systems, safety systems, and ICSS integration.
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with clients and vendors.
