Energy Specialist (Critical Facilities Operation, UPS, Chiller, Engineering Support/ Central)
About the role
Drive engineering excellence, optimisation, and compliance across data centre operations while partnering with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as SME for M&E, BMS, security, and DC operations
- Lead problem management aligned with ITIL practices
- Drive energy optimisation, audits, retrofits, and cost efficiency initiatives
- Manage certification programmes (e.g. TIA-942, ISO, Green Mark) end-to-end
- Oversee procurement, contracts, and technical service vendors
- Collaborate with project teams to improve design, build quality, and maintainability
- Develop and maintain technical standards, SOPs, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and industry standards
- Lead technical capability building across data centres
- Support customer technical audits and reporting
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in M&E Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
- Experienced or interested in critical facilities or data centre operations
- Good knowledge of MEP systems (UPS, chillers, generators, etc.)
- Energy/environmental certifications (e.g. SCEM, LEED, Green Mark) advantageous, good to have
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work independently under tight timelines
