Key Responsibilities
System Administration
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers (physical and virtual), operating systems, and enterprise applications
- Perform routine system checks, backups, and performance tuning
- Monitor and troubleshoot system, hardware, and network issues
User Support
- Handle escalated technical issues and provide timely resolution
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and group policies
- Provide technical assistance to end-users where required
Security & Compliance
- Apply system updates, patches, and security protocols
- Assist with security assessments, audits, and vulnerability checks
- Ensure adherence to internal IT policies and standards
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track system performance and resource utilization using monitoring tools
- Prepare reports on system health, incidents, and maintenance activities
Automation & Scripting
- Support automation of routine tasks through scripting
- Assist in implementing configuration and deployment tools
Cloud & Virtualization
- Support management of cloud services and virtual environments
- Assist with provisioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Help monitor usage and optimize resource costs
- Maintain clear and updated technical documentation
- Support creation of internal guides and procedures
- Work closely with internal IT teams to support ongoing projects
- Contribute ideas to improve systems and processes
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3–5 years of system administration experience
- Proficient in Windows and/or Linux environments, with working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, access control, and basic networking concepts such as VPNs, firewalls, and routing.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), virtualization tools, scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash), and system monitoring tools.
