We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to provide technical service and support for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment across Southeast Asia. This role is responsible for equipment installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, customer training, and ensuring optimal machine performance at customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have a good background in semiconductor equipment servicing, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the flexibility to travel extensively while supporting customers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Installation & Commissioning

  • Install, commission, and qualify semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform equipment acceptance testing and ensure successful machine buy-off within project timelines.
  • Coordinate installation activities with customers and internal teams.
  • Provide basic operational and maintenance training to customers.

Technical Support & Maintenance

  • Deliver on-site and remote technical support for customers.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process-related equipment issues.
  • Carry out machine repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and component replacements as required.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and productivity.

Customer Support

  • Build and maintain good technical relationships with customers.
  • Respond promptly to customer service requests and technical inquiries.
  • Provide technical presentations and support during customer meetings when required.
  • Monitor customer operating practices and recommend process improvements to optimize equipment performance.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare technical service reports detailing issues, root causes, corrective actions, and recommendations.
  • Collect and analyze equipment performance data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate service updates and technical findings with both customers and internal engineering teams.

Quality & Safety

  • Follow company quality standards, service procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations and customer site requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of field service, maintenance, or equipment support experience within the semiconductor industry or a related high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery.

Technical Skills

  • Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Good understanding of industrial machinery, automation systems, and electronics.
  • Proficient in using computers for diagnostics, reporting, and technical documentation.
