Commodity Trader (Grain Related/up $7000)

About the Role

Our client, a reputable global trading company, is seeking an experienced Commodity Trader (Grain) to manage and grow its grain trading portfolio across regional and international markets. This role involves contract execution, market development, stakeholder management, and business growth initiatives, working closely with overseas offices and trading partners.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Execute and negotiate sales and purchase contracts with customers and suppliers.
• Manage contract execution, shipment schedules, pricing adjustments, and futures trading activities.
• Develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing customer relationships.
• Monitor market trends, trade flows, and competitor activities.
• Coordinate with logistics and shipping teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Support risk management, compliance, and P&L reporting activities.
• Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders on trading opportunities.

Requirements: 

• Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commodity trading, grain trading, feed ingredients, or agricultural commodities.
• Good knowledge of contract execution, international trade, Incoterms, and trade operations.
• Familiarity with futures trading and risk management.
• Execellent communication, negotiation, and business development skills.
• Existing grain or commodity trading network will be a plus.
