Technical Writer

Job Description

(max.10 tasks)

• Create clear documentation to guide users on machine technical information including; operating/maintenance manuals, reference guides, retrofit kit instructions, service notifications and user guides.
• Create clear documentation on software release notes and machine software context help.
• Work with Research and Development team to ensure accuracy and relevance of documentation.
• Manage electronic files, backups, document templates and archiving of media, for machines under responsibility.
• Manage projects or tasks which contribute to the improvement of technical writing processes, existing product documentation and its deployment.
• Executes special projects or tasks assigned by the manager.

Requirements

Education

Diploma / Degree in mechanical-related engineering field

Work experience

• At least two years working experience.
• Prior experience PLM applications (product lifecycle management), such as PLM Agile (Oracle product) will be nice.
• Working knowledge in complex machine BOM (Bill of Material) structure, engineering change process and workflow.
• Familiarity with engineering data, such as drawings generated by CAD tools (e.g. CREO, Solid Edge) will be an nice.
• Proficiency technical writing tools: Adobe FrameMaker, Oxygen XML Editor
• Proficiency in Adobe CC Photoshop, Dreamweaver (to edit html)
• Good to know Adobe CC Animate, In-Design, Illustrate,
