Job Summary

  • Responsible for managing end-to-end inbound and outbound shipment operations, ensuring full visibility of shipment flows against plan, and maintaining accountability across carriers and suppliers.

 

Responsibilities

Inbound & Outbound Shipment Management

  • Coordinate and execute all inbound and outbound shipment activities in alignment with the supply plan
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (planning, procurement, warehouse) to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations
  • Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and Sanofi's internal procedures
  • Manage shipment priorities and communicate proactively with relevant teams in the event of changes to the plan

 

Shipment Visibility & Reporting

  • Monitor and track all active shipments in real time against the agreed delivery plan
  • Maintain end-to-end visibility on all transportation movements from external warehouses to the Sanofi site, ensuring goods-in-transit status is always tracked
  • Proactively monitor and report on transit milestones — including pick-up confirmation, in-transit updates, estimated arrival, and delivery confirmation — for all external warehouse-to-site movements
  • Identify and escalate any transit risks or delays that may impact site operations or production schedules, coordinating with carriers and warehouse partners to resolve in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update shipment tracking dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders
  • Provide regular status updates to the Supply Chain team and relevant business partners
  • Proactively identify deviations, delays, or exceptions and escalate as appropriate

 

Carrier & Supplier Accountability

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics suppliers
  • Hold carriers and suppliers accountable to agreed service levels, lead times, and KPIs
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and escalate non-conformances
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives with logistics partners
  • Maintain records of carrier performance and service level adherence

 

Shipment Pick-Up Arrangement & Accountability

  • Own end-to-end responsibility for arranging all shipment pick-ups, including FCA and other applicable Incoterms
  • Coordinate pick-up schedules with suppliers, carriers, and internal warehouse teams to ensure full alignment
  • Confirm pick-up dates, times, and locations; communicate clearly to all parties and follow up on execution
  • Ensure all pick-ups are executed on time and in compliance with Incoterms® requirements and company procedures
  • Escalate and resolve pick-up delays or failures; hold carriers accountable for missed commitments
  • Maintain a pick-up schedule log and track completion status through to delivery confirmation

 

Insurance & Damage Management

  • Manage cargo insurance coverage for all shipments in line with company policy
  • Initiate and follow up on insurance claims for lost, damaged, or delayed shipments
  • Document and report shipment damages, coordinating with carriers, insurers, and internal quality teams
  • Maintain a damage log and track resolution status through to closure
  • Ensure all damage incidents are reported within required timeframes and in accordance with insurance policy conditions

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination role
  • Extensive knowledge of international shipping regulations, Incoterms®, and customs procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in arranging and managing shipment pick-ups and carrier coordination
  • Experience with freight management systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
