Business Systems Analyst - CASA

The Business Systems Analyst will play a key role in supporting the implementation and enhancement of Core Banking Current Account & Savings Account (CASA) solutions. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, solution architects, and vendors to analyse requirements, design functional solutions, oversee system implementation, and ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Business Analysis
  • Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
  • Conduct workshops and stakeholder discussions to capture business needs.
  • Produce functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and use cases.
  • Assess impacts, identify risks, and recommend suitable solutions.
• CASA & Core Banking
  • Support CASA and deposit-related processes including account onboarding, maintenance, closure, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, interest, fees, overdrafts, statements, notifications, GL postings, and regulatory reporting.
• Solution Delivery
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and vendors to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support system configuration, parameterisation, data mapping, and interface design.
  • Analyse change requests and assess business impact.
• Testing & Implementation
  • Prepare and review SIT/UAT test scenarios and cases.
  • Support defect resolution, data validation, migration, and reconciliation.
  • Assist in cutover planning, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with business users, operations, finance, compliance, technology teams, and vendors.
  • Track requirements, risks, issues, and project progress.
  • Facilitate discussions and obtain sign-offs.
• Additional Skills
  • Experience in core banking transformation or migration.
  • Knowledge of SQL, APIs, data mapping, and system interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
  • Understanding of banking regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with regional or international stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Banking, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in the banking industry.
• Experience in Core Banking, CASA, Deposit Systems, or Retail Banking implementation projects.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE.
• Solid knowledge of CASA products, deposit systems, GL code mapping, transaction processing, and banking interfaces.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, functional specification, process mapping, system integration, data migration, SIT/UAT, and production deployment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
