Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations across the APAC region, including Singapore, South Korea, New Zealand, and Australia, with future expansion into emerging markets such as Malaysia, Japan, and India.

This role will be responsible for managing payroll activities, coordinating with local finance teams and external payroll vendors, and supporting a regional payroll transformation project to consolidate multiple payroll providers into a single global payroll platform.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

  • Manage and support payroll processing across APAC countries, covering approximately 100 employees.
  • Support payroll operations in Singapore, South Korea, New Zealand, and Australia.
  • Work closely with local finance teams to ensure accurate payroll data submission and salary payments.
  • For Singapore payroll, provide payroll information to the Finance team, which is responsible for salary disbursement.
  • Ensure payroll activities comply with local statutory and regulatory requirements in each country.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Liaise with multiple local finance teams across APAC.
  • Coordinate with various external payroll service providers.
  • Handle payroll-related queries and ensure smooth communication between stakeholders.

Payroll Transformation Project

  • Support the transition from multiple local payroll vendors to one global payroll provider.
  • Assist with payroll implementation, testing, data validation, and go-live activities.
  • Work closely with project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
  • New markets will be onboarded directly to the global payroll provider.
  • Existing countries will transition in phases

Requirements

  • Experience handling payroll across multiple APAC countries
  • Understanding of country-specific payroll compliance and statutory requirements
  • Experience managing payroll for at least three APAC countries
  • Hands-on payroll processing experience
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, finance teams, and external vendors
  • Experience supporting payroll implementation or transformation projects
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Experience with payroll transitions or vendor consolidations
  • Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors
  • Exposure to payroll operations in Singapore, South Korea, New Zealand, and Australia

Additional Information:

  • Salary – Up to S$8K per month + 1-month bonus
  • Contract duration: 12-month contract (6+6)
  • Commencement Date: Immediate
  • Working days and hours: Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm
