Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with external tax consultants, advisors, and regulatory authorities to manage local tax audits, investigations, and tax-related disputes.
- Coordinate with overseas finance teams to prepare and submit supporting documentation, tax responses, and other compliance requirements in a timely manner.
- Monitor the progress of tax audits and assessments, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and in accordance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with external tax experts to deliver tax training and knowledge-sharing sessions for regional finance teams, enhancing tax awareness and technical capabilities.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of regular tax review processes to ensure compliance with local tax laws and reporting obligations.
- Review tax filings and declarations prepared by local finance teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential tax risks and recommend practical solutions to strengthen tax controls and compliance frameworks.
- Stay updated on tax regulation changes and assess their impact on business operations across different jurisdictions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant tax experience, preferably within a multinational corporation or international business environment.
- Prior experience in tax compliance, tax advisory, tax audits, or tax dispute management.
- Good understanding of corporate tax regulations and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Posses analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret tax regulations and assess tax implications effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
