Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine sensory, physical, chemical and other analysis as required
- Consistently make appropriate decisions for approval/rejection of batches of flavour raw materials/ finished products based on the test results within agreed lead time
- Ensure all raw material received and manufactured products meet quality standards in accordance with specifications
- Develop/maintain quality specifications and standards for raw materials, in-process materials and finished products
- Perform risk assessment of raw materials and finished products and ensure food safety as per the agreed guidelines
- Perform data entry and documentation process (SAP System)
- Operate required lab equipment (eg. GC,GC/MS, Auto-titrator etc.)
- Perform basic preventive maintenance, equipment verification/calibration and analytical method verification
- Risk assessment, deviation management and food safety control is necessary
Requirements:
- Candidate should possess Bachelor or Master Degree in Food Science or Chemistry or with a proven track record in handling food flavours
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in similar industry
- Sensory experience is a must
- Possess good knowledge of chemical properties, especially in the area of food flavours
- Basic process knowledge of production work
- Knowledge of Lab safety and GLP
