Our client is a leading private research facility and we are looking for enthusiastic and experienced bioinformaticians to join them for a 1-year contract. You will be working on industrial research.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree from an accredited university in the fields of bioinformatics / biostatistics / computational biology / computer science
• At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a research associate / scientist in similar fields
• Experience in next-generation sequencing will a plus
• Strong knowledge in R, python, perl, and experience working in a linux environment
• Demonstrated experience in technical presentations

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for applying state-of-the-art bioinformatic and statistical tools to analyze large-scale, complex datasets
• Optimize, maintain and assist in quality control of bioinformatics pipelines & workflow
• Assist in cleaning, processing, and maintenance of complex datasets
• Partner with internal and external collaborators to assess and invent better approaches for large-scale biological data analysis and integration
