The Role

  • Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities
  • Responsible for meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as set by the Managers in accordance with Policy Deployment objectives.
  • Lead and identify root cause & implement preventive action in quality escapes.
  • Work actively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals.
  • Lead activities in continuous improvement activities by utilizing Lean-Sigma tools (5S, Kaizen events, eliminating 7 wastes, etc.) and adhering to HSE policies & Ergonomics requirements.
  • Champion compliance to the Airworthiness regulations by following work procedures.
  • Ensure Gold-Level safety culture is maintained and all requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • Degree/ Diploma in Aerospace/ Mechanical or any other relevant Engineering disciplines
  • Good communication and negotiation skills throughout all levels of the department


Key Skills & Attributes

  • Computer skills: MS Words, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Softs skills: System Corrective Action Request (SCAR), Eight Disciplines (8D), Lean-Sigma tools
  • Good to have Plating/ Chroming/ Heat Treatment experience
  • People Management and Project Management experiences
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude with ability to adopt 'hands-on' approach when required


Leadership responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building and delivery through daily QRQC meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and change
  • Effective management of the resources pool including absence, overtime, holidays, skills matrix etc.
  • Train new staff and assess their competency level
