Takes full responsibility for inspection in accordance with local regulatory requirements and company HSEQ requirements
Applies external and internal Mechanical Integrity Best Practices.
Reports to Head of Technical Services in Technical Department
Develop and implement the inspection and preventive maintenance plans to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant (preventive / predictive Maintenance and Risk Based Inspection etc.), and ensure the data updating in SAP.
Ensure the scheduled inspection activities completed on time, especially for all MOM registered equipment, as per regulatory requirements and guidelines.
Internal coordination with other teams in technical department, to prepare turnaround.
Be aware of all legal requirements and liaise closely with MOM / authorities for all equipment.
Manage the contracts with third party consultants (AE - Authorized Examiners, CP - Competent Person, PE - Professional Engineer, etc.) and external inspection companies; select subcontractor for inspection as per company procurement procedure.
Involve in definition of new added / repaired statutory or non-statutory equipment with maintenance and procurement team, provide technical conditions and delivery conditions to ensure best practices for MI inspection and future equipment follow up.
Lead the application of CLA (Corporate Level Approval) Scheme for extension of statutory inspection interval, as key contact person with third party CP.
Be able to challenge subcontractor for inspection for non-destructive methods and location of examination regarding the material and the damage mode.
Provide information, advice and/or review any modification and repair procedure(s) concerning static equipment and/or corrosion issues.
Ensure high equipment reliability and integrity during plant operation, together with Operation Department and all other teams in Technical Department
Follow the regulatory and technical changes; ensure the awareness of internal people on the latest regulations and standards.
Identify the needs for internal people, and ensure all necessary trainings with external specialists.
Provide technical support to other teams in MOC procedure (on project studies, modification or refurbishment of equipment, regulations, methods).
Prepare the fixed cost budgets of his/her activity and ensure the follow-up.
Collect Return of Experience (internal & external), analyse the lessons learned, and ensure the best practices in implementation.
Participate in RCA / 5 Why analysis, led by Reliability Engineer.
Participate in related corporate / regional MI working group.
Technical knowledge of vessel (design, fabrication), piping, exchangers, safety valve, rotating equipment for chemical process and good practices for inspection.
Technical knowledge of plastics (PP/PVDF/FRP/PTFE)/ glass /ceramic (quartz) equipment and related damage mode mechanisms (as mechanical or chemical thermal resistance).
Technical knowledge of metallic equipment (Stainless Steel, Nickel base alloy, Refractory metallic materials) and related damage mode mechanisms (corrosion, fatigue, erosion).
General knowledge on process, chemical hazard, materials, metallurgy, welding, material resistance, and Non-Destructive Testing.
Knowledge of reliability tools (RCA, 5 why)
