Maintenance/Utilities Technician (Facilities / Equipment / Tuas)
Purpose of Job

• The role holder would be responsible for maintenance activities of building facilities assets including waste water treatment plant.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform monthly preventive maintenance according to agreed PM Schedule
• Response on user complaint (Reactive Maintenance)
• Perform any maintenance related activities assigned including patch up and repair works
• Daily routine inspection of facilities and wastewater treatment plant condition and report any defect found.
• Engage with Plant Engineering Department for any defect works found during inspection and PM.
• To coordinate and manage contractor when performing work at site.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Responsible for completing all assigned maintenance activities and ensuring accurate documentation updating of Work Order systems
• Support Facility Operations, take equipment readings & update logbooks and other operation jobs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment to assist in determining the root cause of failures
• Carry out repair of equipment such as replacing faulty parts (eg. Bearing, mechanical seal and etc), shaft alignment, clear blockages, rectify leaks and cleaning equipment parts and etc.
• Re-assemble, re-install, test run and monitor asset after repair
• Ensure permit requirements are met for all Utilities operations activities, conduct routine condition monitoring of machine (eg. Vibration, noise, corrosion, temperature, pressure data recording and trending), as required
• Ability to communicate and Escalate incidents in case of emergency situations
• Coordinate with contractors for the facility repair / trouble shoot jobs,
• Maintain cordial work relationship with client, colleagues and contractors

Requirements

• Minimum 3 Years related experience in maintenance function or in similar capacity
• Make sure the contractor issued Permit to Work and wear proper PPE before commencing the work
• Zero accidents while performing maintenance works

Other Information:

• Full time Permanent role!
• Location: Tuas
• Salary up to S$3000 per month
• Working Hours: 8am - 5pm (Mon - Fri) and 8am - 12pm (Sat)
