- The role of the Mechatronics Technician is to perform routine and non-routine tests to meet customer's requirement, engineering standard, API standards and other industry standards.
- Responsible for assisting the engineer in troubleshooting test failure problems.
- To set up and conduct routine and non-routine tests including mechanical, electrical, electronic and software of test setups.
- Assist with data acquisition setups and calibration of sensors and transducers.
- Collect, organizes and prepare short reports/data from tests performed.
- Works with responsible engineers and other technicians on the setup, conduction and data reporting on complex test assigned.
- Responsible for the assigned routine work, such as daily inspection of equipment, calibration and preventive maintenance.
- Liaise with engineers, customers and third-party examiners during tests.
- Installing, Commissioning, and maintaining the mechanical-electrical control systems (PLC, HMI, Sensors, etc.)
- Able to read, interpret machine drawings, procedures, P&ID, Electrical schematics, drawings, wiring diagrams, block diagrams
- Experienced with Hydraulics, Accumulator, Pump., HPUs, relief valve operation, pressure gauges, pressure switches, flowmeters etc.
- Testing functions, Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical systems (I/O's Faults/Alarms)
- Prior experience in offshore or automation industry will be preferable with working knowledge of system integration
- Advantageous if experience working with PLC's, HMI's & SCADA systems including Rockwell/Allen Bradley, HIMA, Siemens, National Instruments etc; advantageous if experienced in working Data Logger, Data Acquisition Systems, Historians etc.
- Advantageous if experienced with wiring connection, able to connect and disconnect devices, familiar with control systems layout and grounding; experience with sensor data, data format and be able to troubleshoot the condition/status of the equipment. Advantageous if experienced working with various Industrial Digital and analogue devices, Pressure transmitters, RTDs, proximity sensors, power control, relays, contactors, terminal blocks, fuses, breakers
- Maintain the test area to a satisfactory safe working standard.
- Skilled with electronics, hydraulics and/or mechanical assemblies, automated machine operation and/or programming
