Project Management Officer (Contract)

Our MNC client is looking for an independent Project Management Officer (PMO) on the team to be responsible for coordinating across functional teams and monitoring progress, ensuring that the carve-in strategy is executed and that all milestones are achieved as planned.

This role leverages on the infrastructure of various countries; hence, the incumbent is also required to work with individual country PMOs, in addition to the functional leads.

Key Accountabilities:
Design of project steps

  • Work with stakeholders to understand needs and constraints of the business, and represent CBEC to ensure that all relevant considerations are made in project steps
  • Define functional workstream milestones and identify / highlight dependencies (between functions as well as with other countries)
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs


Project Management

  • Manage overall progress of project
    • Keep track of major milestones and ensure timely delivery of these milestones by various workstreams
    • Ensure dependencies are planned and resolved timely for delivery of milestones
    • Anticipate and mitigate risks of project, raising issues in a timely fashion
  • Cooperation with various workstream leads
    • Organize and moderate status calls for individual functions
    • Understand high-level objectives and milestones of workstreams
    • Prepare relevant decision and presentation material for workstreams
    • Work with workstream leads in order to ensure relevant delivery of business needs
  • Management reporting of project progress
    • Weekly written report of project updates to management
    • Monthly management meeting to present key progress and highlight key issues to be escalated
    • Brief and obtain milestone sign-off from key management personnel as required
  • Project coordination
    • Preparation of steering committee meetings and creation of all relevant presentations as well as minutes
    • Team and schedule management, ie by use of holiday / absence calendar
    • Task list and risk reporting, creation of project organisation chart
    • Set up structure on Microsoft Teams for consolidated project related information across workstreams
    • Preparation of reporting documents to regional PMO


Lead Commercial workstream

  • Own knowledge and documentation of business processes and key assets
  • Ownership of commercial tasks resulting from reorganisation
  • Change management
    • Assist business General Manager (alongside HR) to prepare, equip, and support individuals through transition period


Others

  • Support other project-related tasks as required



Requirements

  • Preferably with 3 years' project management experience, relating to M&A activities in a pharmaceutical/ FMCG industry.
  • Broad understanding of end-to-end operational functions in a business (Finance, Controlling, ITS, Legal, Tax, HR, Systems and Operations)
  • Capable of handling end-to-end management of projects with great autonomy
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to present information on Powerpoint management-consulting style
  • Able to translate complex ideas into clear frameworks and present them visually
  • Strong interpersonal skills at management level; ability to build and leverage cooperative relationships, with peers and with management
  • Organised individual who works through problems methodologically
  • Experience in intercultural teams
  • Ability to think ahead and act independently
  • Possess a good Bachelor's degree
