Role Summary
This position is responsible to partner the Sales, Functions and Supply Chain leaders in the region to understand key business needs and translate these into human resource strategies and action plans to support business growth. The position will collaborate with Global/Region/Country HR to drive efficient HR delivery within the region, which includes talent acquisition, talent development, organizational design and development, employee relations, compensation, global mobility and HR Operations.

Job Description

  • Partner with business leaders to understand business needs and translate these into HR strategies and action plans to support business growth.
  • Be the focal point to managers and employees by providing HR advices and recommendations, and supporting implementation when necessary.
  • Manage HR Operations for Singapore and Malaysia
  • Work with global & regional HR team to support the implementation of key compensation initiatives and processes such as annual merit planning etc.
  • Counsel managers on employee relations issues and challenges, conduct Board of Inquiry where necessary, and make recommendations for the resolution of issues.
  • Involve in Talent Acquisition process to ensure that talent is hired to meet the organization's current and future requirements. This includes working with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, facilitating scoping sessions with TA and influencing hiring decisions through interview and selection process.
  • Involve in key talent initiatives like talent assessment, succession planning, performance management and employee development in the region.
  • Work with regional HR leader on Global Mobility matters I.e. on cost estimates for international assignees, and HR from home & host country on the relocation of these assignees.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable country employment related laws and regulations and corporate polices/guidelines
  • Play a pivotal role in aligning country HR objectives, processes and initiatives with Region HR.
  • Involve in regional, country HR projects and any other ad-hoc projects as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business / Human Resources or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in HR Practices and Talent Development.
  • Prior experience within the Oil & Gas / Maritime industries will be highly advantageous.
  • Possess excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work well in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Comfortable in travelling to Jurong Island (transport will be provided at J.E MRT).
  • Role: Maternity Coverage + 0.5 month completion bonus + pro-rated annual leaves)
  • Working Schedule: Mondays to Fridays 8.15am - 5pm, 3 days on-site and 2 days WFH weekly
