Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of IBM Storage Protect (TSM) and comparable backup solutions
- Perform installation, configuration, and implementation of IBM Storage Protect
- Provide 24/7 operational support, including working in shifts and handling critical incidents independently
- Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for BAU (Business As Usual) backup activities
- Monitor backup jobs, perform recovery operations, and ensure SLA adherence
- Provide remote and onsite support as required
- Analyze and resolve escalated backup and recovery issues within target timelines
- Conduct problem determination and root cause analysis for recurring issues
- Audit and optimize backup policies, retention, and environments
- Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and application teams
Requirement
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in an Infrastructure / IT Support / Backup role
- Basic or working knowledge of IBM Storage Protect (Windows & UNIX)
- Willingness to learn and grow in backup and recovery technologies
- Proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and shift-based environment
