Job Summary
- To support testing operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Responsible for supporting test engineering activities, including test setup, system configuration, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Ensure smooth test execution, maintain accurate data, and assist in resolving technical issues on the production line.
Responsibilities
- Translate and understand Test Process Instructions (TPI), and provide training to production testers
- Support and guide operators on test procedures and resolve questions during testing
- Maintain and upload training records for audit purposes
- Create and manage Golden Images (GI) for servers and ensure data accuracy within test databases
- Coordinate approval processes to ensure production readiness and on-time shipment
- Develop and configure rack test templates based on BOM and Engineering Instructions (EI)
- Work with software teams to deploy rack configurations into test systems
- Set up and maintain database entries for new components (e.g., switches, power shelves)
- Troubleshoot basic test issues on the production line and perform root cause analysis
- Escalate complex issues to engineers or supervisors when necessary
- Raise tickets and coordinate with relevant teams for issue resolution
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians when required
Requirements
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in testing or manufacturing environment (or 4+ years without degree)
- Experience in server, rack, or hardware testing environments is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Linux / DOS operating systems
- Understanding of basic electrical concepts
- Intermediate computer hardware troubleshooting skills
- Basic network hardware troubleshooting capability
- Ability to read and understand Python or other programming scripts
