ICT Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud)

We are looking for an ICT Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud) to support the engineering, administration, integration, and operational management of an enterprise test automation platform across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.

The role combines Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud/Container Platforms, Network Integration, and Test Automation Enablement. You will work closely with application teams, solution architects, testers, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, as well as external technology vendors, to ensure the platform remains secure, stable, available, and performant.

Responsibilities

Platform Administration & Operations

• Administer and provide operational support for the enterprise test automation platform across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.
• Coordinate platform upgrades, patching, image deployments, and release implementations.
• Monitor platform availability and troubleshoot operational incidents.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and vendors to investigate and resolve platform issues.
• Perform deployment validation and post-implementation verification.

Test Automation Enablement

• Support project teams in utilizing the test automation platform for functional, regression, API, and chaos testing.
• Assist with onboarding new applications and projects onto the platform.
• Support connectivity, test execution, and automation framework requirements.
• Coordinate testing readiness activities for key project milestones.

NGINX Proxy Engineering & Integration

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain NGINX proxy infrastructure supporting platform connectivity.
• Configure pass-through proxy solutions between the automation platform and target application environments.
• Support SSL certificate installation and secure communication channels.
• Troubleshoot proxy and connectivity-related issues.

Infrastructure & Network Integration

• Coordinate firewall, routing, NAT, VLAN, and network connectivity requirements with infrastructure teams.
• Raise and manage infrastructure and change requests through enterprise ITSM tools.
• Validate connectivity between the automation platform, proxy infrastructure, OpenShift/EKS clusters, and application environments.
• Support connectivity across cloud, on-premises, and project environments.

OpenShift / EKS / Container Platform Support

• Support application and platform deployments running on OpenShift and AWS EKS.
• Coordinate container image deployments, fixes, patches, and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot OpenShift/EKS connectivity, access, and deployment issues.
• Support container platform integrations related to automated and chaos testing capabilities.

Security & Vulnerability Management

• Coordinate remediation of security vulnerabilities identified within platform components.
• Track security findings and ensure timely implementation of vendor fixes.
• Support security reviews, platform hardening, and remediation activities.
• Ensure platform operations comply with organizational security requirements.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary technical liaison between internal teams and external technology vendors.
• Coordinate technical investigations, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Manage deployment plans, maintenance windows, technical communications, and operational activities.
• Work with project stakeholders to resolve platform and infrastructure-related issues.

Change & Release Management

• Plan and coordinate platform releases and production deployments.
• Raise, manage, and execute change requests in accordance with enterprise processes.
• Perform deployment validation and post-release verification.
• Prepare operational communications and maintenance notifications.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Experience administering and supporting enterprise test automation platforms.
• Good hands-on experience with NGINX administration and proxy configuration.
• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and/or AWS EKS.
• Good knowledge of Linux administration.
• Understanding of enterprise networking, firewall, routing, NAT, VLAN, and connectivity.
• Experience with SSL certificates and secure communication.
• Experience with cloud and containerized environments.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management / Change Management tools.
• Experience coordinating vulnerability remediation and security hardening.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.

Other Experience

• Experience in Test Automation Platform Engineering.
• Background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift / EKS / Kubernetes.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in complex IT environments.
• Experience working across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Experience in financial services, banking, or other regulated environments.
