Senior Network & Security Engineer

  • Job Reference: 157970
  • Industry: Information and Communications Technology

Role Overview

We are seeking a technically robust and highly autonomous Senior Network & Security Engineer to drive our deployment and implementation projects. In this role, you will be the primary technical authority for complex network and cybersecurity solutions, bridging the gap between high-level design, seamless execution and troubleshooting. You must be a "self-operator, capable of leading a deployment from staging to final UAT with minimal supervision while providing technical guidance and solutions to the broader engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Delivery Oversight: Drive the full project lifecycle, from hardware "burn-in" and staging to production rollout, ensuring all deployments meet stability and security benchmarks.
  • UTM & Firewall Mastery: Lead the implementation of comprehensive UTM features, including IPS/IDS, Application Control, Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR), and Sandboxing.
  • Solution Architecture & Scoping: Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into practical Low-Level Designs (LLD). Ensure project Scopes of Work (SOW) are technically viable and optimized.
  • Technical Authority & Mentorship: Act as the final technical escalation point for troubleshooting. Raise the team’s standards through configuration reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Operational Excellence: Produce and standardize high-quality technical documentation, including Network Maps, LLDs, SOPs, and User Acceptance Manuals.
  • Strategic Troubleshooting: Lead high-impact troubleshooting sessions and manage principal vendor relationships (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point) to drive rapid incident resolution.
  • Validation & POC Support: Lead Proof of Concept (POC) activities, demonstrating technical value and achieving "Technical Wins" for prospective enterprise clients.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Network or Network Security Engineering, preferably within a System Integration (SI) environment.
  • Technical Core: Hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade stacks (Next-Gen Firewalls, Core Switching, SD-WAN).
  • Multi-Vendor Proficiency: Expert-level experience with Fortinet, Cisco, or Check Point platforms.
  • Infrastructure Integration: Proficient in integrating security solutions with Active Directory (AD) for identity-based policy enforcement (LDAP/FSSO).
  • Work Approach: Proactive and self-driven; a "self-operator" who takes total ownership of project delivery in fast-paced environments.
  • Communication: Exceptional skills in producing professional technical documentation and explaining complex technical statuses to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to support scheduled maintenance windows or occasional after-hours activities when required.
