    Your primary role is to oversee day to day merchant acquiring settlement activities. You will need to monitor our merchant payment transactions using our internal and external systems. Your goal is to ensure speed and accuracy of our settlement process. Besides, the role is also required to ensure smooth and accurate closing of books on a monthly basis. You will need to ensure all proper paper documentations are kept and required financial and management reporting are submitted back to HQ in a timely manner. You will be performing the following: - Monitor daily transaction data and alert if any abnormality is observed; - Liaise with Merchant Unit when discrepancies of transactions happen; - Ensure merchant payment is balanced by reconciliation of GL closing balance account against reports from our settlement system; - Clarify and trace problems of merchant payment complaints from customers, and make appropriate action/ adjustment via phone/email; - Follow-up complaints received by updating it to various internal departments; - Manage full spectrum of accounting and finance functions in accordance to statutory requirements, company policies and procedures; - Responsible for financial closing of monthly accounts, prepare monthly schedules; - Perform weekly reconciliation of bank and other balance sheets account and ensure all reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner; - Work with various departments to ensure smooth flow of accounting functions; - Ensure proficiency and effectiveness in day to day operations of the finance department; - Submission of quarterly GST return; - Assist in HR payroll/benefit program localization and daily operation; - Assist in ad-hoc projects and perform all other duties as assigned and required.
