Job Responsibilities

Act as Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) and Fire Safety Manager (FSM) for assigned operations.

Provide professional EHS guidance and support to line functions across all operational activities.

Support accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.

Manage and advise on EHS programs such as Permit to Work, Risk Management, and Fire Safety systems.

Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits, including site visits where required.

Review, update, and maintain risk assessments, procedures, and EHS documentation.

Implement and sustain Environmental, Health & Safety standards and management programs.

Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems and related documentation.

Compile and report monthly EHS performance indicators, incidents, and accident statistics.

Deliver EHS training and safety briefings for employees and contractors.

Monitor EHS-related permits and licenses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Support leadership in driving behavioural-based safety initiatives and improving hazard and near-miss reporting.

Conduct occupational hygiene assessments to evaluate and control workplace exposure risks.

Perform additional EHS-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline.

At least 5 years of full-time experience in an EHS-related role.

Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH).

Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM).

Experience in oil, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical environments with exposure to process safety.

Good knowledge of EHS legislation, standards, and industry practices.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Demonstrated capability in promoting and sustaining a good safety culture.
