Mechanical Assembly & Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical sub-assembly and final assembly of products and components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Conduct product testing, calibration, and validation activities to ensure compliance with performance and quality requirements.
• Inspect assembled products, identify defects or non-conformities, and perform troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs, and rework where required.
• Interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, technical specifications, and production documentation accurately.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, Vernier calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Maintain accurate production, testing, and quality records.
• Support material handling activities and ensure smooth workflow of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods within the production environment.
• Follow KANBAN, FIFO, and other inventory management practices to support efficient material flow.
• Achieve daily production targets while maintaining required quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with established safety procedures and 5S practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, production, or industrial equipment environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing work instructions.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, product testing, inspection, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and mechanical assembly tools.
• Understanding of quality control processes, defect identification, root cause analysis, and manufacturing quality standards.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM, SMED, KANBAN, and FIFO.
• Exposure to industrial equipment, valves, pumps, flow-control products, or process manufacturing environments will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Physically capable of handling mechanical components and performing assembly activities while adhering to workplace safety requirements.
