Export IT Compliance Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reviews of targeted transactions and projects to ensure compliance with the applicable U.S., China and APAC export control regulations. This includes but not limited to verifying product export classifications, analyzing export license requirements, etc.
  • Conduct export classification reviews, including assessment of software, hardware, cloud services, technology, and technical data.
  • Maintain accurate records of export compliance checks and prepare reports or statistics as needed.
  • Assist with identifying potential areas of export compliance vulnerability and risks in business processes; developing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
  • Assist with internal audits and export compliance monitoring of existing transactions subject to government export authorizations.
  • Support restricted/denied party screening and hits resolution under U.S., China and APAC export control regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in export compliance or a related field.
  • Proficient in U.S., China and APAC export control regulations, with specific expertise in export licenses and license exceptions under U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-regional teams, especially with teams in China and APAC countries.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in export compliance (e.g., CUSECO, ECTI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of export control regimes in China, Hong Kong (China).
  • Knowledge of export control regimes in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam or other APAC jurisdictions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS), Oracle GTM, or similar trade compliance platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud computing, cybersecurity, software licensing, data transfers, and encryption controls.
