Senior Salesforce Developer – Asset Management / Financial Services

Responsibilities:

        Technical:

  • Lead the configuration, customization, and ongoing management of Salesforce environments, preferably within a Financial Services context.
  • Build and maintain trusted, collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and technical teams across the organization.
  • Collaborate with business units to evaluate existing capabilities and identify opportunities for enhanced or new functionality aligned with strategic goals.
  • Partner with internal technology teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of company's Salesforce instance and be able to articulate both technical and functional configurations to various stakeholders.
  • Own and execute a broad range of tasks, including support for service tickets, enhancement requests, and project deliverables.
  • Continuously enhance technical skills through self-directed learning, exploring new tools and technologies to support growth and innovation.
  • Analyze business needs and design scalable, flexible Salesforce solutions that align with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Translate business requirements into well-defined technical specifications and solution designs.
  • Lead the full development lifecycle—design, build, test, document, and deploy solutions with a focus on performance, usability, and maintainability.
  • Ensure effective design and implementation of all major system modifications, with an emphasis on architectural integrity.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues using various diagnostic methods and tools, ensuring long-term resolution.
  • Demonstrate deep application knowledge and stay current with new Salesforce features, releases, and Company-specific customizations.
  • Perform advanced data analysis through complex ad hoc queries to support reporting, issue resolution, and data migration.
  • Organize and interpret data to develop actionable insights and recommendations that support business decisions.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that can support company business growth and digital strategy. 

Communication:

  • Communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner, tailored to the needs of both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Contribute to system documentation to support internal knowledge sharing and continuity within the Technology team.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with business and technical stakeholders by being responsive and attentive to their needs.

  • Operate independently with minimal supervision, managing tasks and priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Develop a understanding of company's operations and functional areas, with a focus on aligning project work to broader business objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, particularly within Sales Cloud, with deep expertise in:
    • Apex (classes, triggers, test classes)
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • Visualforce
    • SOQL
    • Process Builder, Workflows, and Salesforce Flow
    • Custom objects, controllers, and metadata-driven design
  • Proficiency in SOAP/REST web services and API-based integrations, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting of cross-platform data flows.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience using SOQL query tools for data investigation and issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership and end users.
  • Solid understanding of Agile software development methodology, including experience participating in sprints, stand-ups, and backlog grooming.
  • In-depth knowledge of DST / Transfer Agency operations and data transformation/reconciliation processes is strongly required.
  • Salesforce Certifications (Good to have):
    • Salesforce Platform Developer I (required or in progress)
    • Salesforce Administrator
    • Platform Developer II or App Builder a plus
  • Computer Science university degree/college diploma or equivalent
     

Experience:

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Experience with:
  • Snowflake, Unqork, Workato, FISDX, Intralinks, Loopio, Seismic, Monday.com
  • Jira or other project management tools
  • C# and/or Azure applications
