Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and electronics-related technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions in collaboration with stakeholders. 
  • Evaluate and qualify end-of-life (EOL) components and identify suitable second-source alternatives to ensure product continuity. 
  • Maintain and update engineering documentation within PLM systems, including BOMs, drawings, specifications, manuals, service instructions, and release notes. 
  • Assess engineering change requests and improvement proposals, conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and implementation activities. 
  • Develop and implement electrical solutions to meet customer-specific requirements. 
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and process engineering teams to achieve project objectives and product improvements. 
  • Ensure compliance with international machine safety, electrical, and product standards.
  • Provide technical support for R&D and continuous improvement projects, as well as assistance to global manufacturing and technical support teams on electrical matters. 

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automation, industrial equipment, semiconductor equipment, or related engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design, sensors, motor technologies, and industrial cabling practices. 
  • Experience designing products compliant with standards such as UL, CE, RoHS, EMI, and EMC.
  • Familiarity with electrical debugging and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
  • Exposure to EPLAN P8, PLM systems, and PCB layout tools such as Cadence will be advantageous.
  • Communication skills, customer-focused mindset, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, organized, results-oriented, and willing to travel occasionally for on-site support when required.
