Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end movement of raw materials, consumables, and industrial products across global supply chains to support manufacturing and operational requirements.
- Monitor and maintain shipping documentation for bulk, breakbulk, and containerized shipments, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Review Bills of Lading, Letters of Credit, certificates of origin, and other trade documentation to facilitate timely cargo movements and customs clearance.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, engineering, operations, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability and supply chain continuity.
- Track cargo readiness, vessel schedules, shipment milestones, inventory requirements, and delivery performance to support production and business objectives.
- Maintain accurate shipment, material, and logistics data within ERP systems, including vessel movements, goods receipts, freight costs, and inventory status.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, vessel operators, brokers, and logistics service providers to coordinate transportation activities and resolve operational issues.
- Support material planning and supply chain execution by identifying potential delays, supply risks, and bottlenecks, while implementing corrective actions where required.
- Prepare logistics performance reports, shipment analyses, and operational metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage freight invoices, purchase orders, payment follow-ups, freight claims, and shipment discrepancy investigations.
- Contribute to process improvement projects focused on supply chain optimization, logistics efficiency, inventory management, and cost reduction.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain operations, logistics, freight management, shipping, procurement, materials planning, or industrial operations.
- Experience supporting industrial manufacturing, mining, chemicals, process industries, energy, or heavy engineering environments.
- Knowledge of international shipping processes, trade documentation, Bills of Lading, Letters of Credit, and import/export requirements.
- Familiarity with material flow management, inventory control, logistics planning, and global supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational risks and drive process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders within a fast-paced international environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy, process compliance, and operational excellence.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across regional and global teams.
