Must have 5 years of trading experience for upstream Petrochemicals (O&G) such as Ethylene, Propylene, Butadiene, Benzene, Toluene, Xylenes (Paraxylene, Ortho-xylene) and other Aromatics

Job Description

• Develop and Execute Trading Strategies
  Develop and execute physical and/or paper trading strategies for upstream petrochemical feedstocks and related commodities to maximize trading profitability and market opportunities.

• Source and Secure Supply
  Identify, evaluate, and secure competitive supply from producers, refiners, and other counterparties across key regional and international markets.

• Manage Customer & Counterparty Relationships
  Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers, producers, end-users, distributors, brokers, and other market participants to develop sustainable trading opportunities.

• Market Analysis & Intelligence
  Monitor global petrochemical markets, including crude oil, naphtha, LPG, condensates and other relevant feedstocks, analyzing supply-demand fundamentals, pricing trends, refinery operations, freight, arbitrage opportunities, and geopolitical developments.

• Trade Origination & Business Development
  Identify new trading opportunities, markets, products, and counterparties while expanding the company's trading portfolio and geographical footprint.

• Pricing & Commercial Negotiation
  Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, contract terms, volume, delivery schedules, payment conditions, and other key trade parameters to optimize margins and manage commercial exposure.

• Physical Supply Chain Management
  Oversee the execution of physical trades, including nominations, shipping and logistics coordination, storage, blending, quality specifications, documentation, and timely delivery.

• Risk & Position Management
  Monitor and manage trading positions, price exposure, credit risk, operational risk, and market risk in accordance with the company's risk management framework and trading limits.

• Profitability & Portfolio Management
  Track trade performance, margins, P&L, working capital, and portfolio exposure, making timely adjustments to optimize returns and minimize downside risk.

• Cross-Functional Trade Execution
  Work closely with risk, operations, shipping, finance, legal, compliance, and credit teams to ensure trades are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
