The Project EHS Specialist will work closely with the Project Manager and EHS Manager to continue to drive a Safety-First culture at the plant construction projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers to address and resolve safety concerns raised on-site.
- Review and approve Job safety Analyses (JSA), risk assessments, and method statements submitted by contractors.
- Conduct safety inductions, training sessions, and briefings for vendors and contractors as required.
- Perform daily site safety supervision to ensure compliance with established safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Issue work permits(work at height, hot work, welding, confined space etc..) and coordinate with vendors to monitor ongoing site activities and ensure safe execution of work- necessary certification as per local law is mandatory.
- Conduct Gemba walks to identify EHS improvement opportunities and ensure timely remediation of safety concerns.
- Participate in incident investigations; identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Analyze incident and accident data to identify trends and recommend improvement measures.
- Act as a safety advocate by promoting a safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Perform periodic EHS audits to identify hazards, compliance gaps, and potential liabilities; ensure timely closure of identified actions.
- Lead and support job safety analysis (JSA) and ergonomics assessments; recommend and implement improvements with contractors.
- Maintain EHS documentation, databases, and records; prepare and submit reports as required.
- Support project teams to ensure EHS standards are incorporated and maintained during brownfield project execution.
- Maintain and update task-specific Hazard Identification and Risk Registers.

- Knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices, preferably within the pharmaceutical or industrial sector.
