Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of bakers and pastry chefs to achieve high standards of craftsmanship, productivity, and teamwork.
  • Oversee the production and execution of the brand's core range of breads and pastries, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
  • Develop and innovate new bread and pastry recipes tailored to local market preferences while maintaining the brand's identity and standards.
  • Establish and optimize bakery operational processes, ensuring efficient production planning and workflow management.
  • Manage manpower planning, staff scheduling, inventory control, procurement, and stock management to support daily operations.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products while minimizing wastage and maximizing efficiency.
  • Maintain the highest standards of product quality, food safety, and hygiene across all bakery operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations and workplace safety requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, Baking & Pastry, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a bakery or pastry production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Solid expertise in bread-making, pastry production, and recipe development within a high-volume production setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop bakery teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for developing new products and enhancing existing recipes.
  • Possess a valid Food Hygiene Certificate; SFA Food Safety Course Level 3 certification will be advantageous. Training may be provided if required.
  • Knowledgeable of food safety, quality assurance, inventory management, and bakery production processes.
  • Experience managing bakery operations, including manpower allocation, scheduling, and production planning.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
