Air Freight Procurement Manager

Responsiblities 

Airline Capacity Planning & Demand Management

• Analyze and forecast air freight demand across regional and global trade lanes.
• Develop short, medium, and long-term capacity plans to support business growth and network expansion.
• Evaluate airline schedules and capacity offerings to identify the most suitable carrier solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align airline capacity requirements with business objectives.

Airline Procurement & Commercial Management

• Lead negotiations and execution of Block Space Agreements (BSAs) and other airline contracts.
• Develop procurement strategies that balance service quality, capacity availability, and cost competitiveness.
• Build and maintain relationships with airline partners to secure strategic capacity and commercial advantages.
• Monitor market conditions and recommend procurement strategies to maximize profitability.

Airline Performance & Partnership Management

• Establish and manage airline performance metrics, KPIs, and scorecards.
• Conduct regular business reviews with airline partners to drive service improvements and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen strategic partnerships and enhance network performance.

Operational & Network Execution

• Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth implementation and execution of airline capacity plans.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance and contract approval processes.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical carrier-related operational issues and service disruptions.

Charter & Peak Season Capacity Management

• Coordinate charter solutions to meet operational and customer requirements.
• Lead peak season capacity planning and additional space procurement initiatives.
• Support the development of new trade lanes and air freight growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in air freight, airline procurement, airline operations, network planning, or cargo capacity management.
• Exposure to air freight forwarding, express transportation, logistics, or airline cargo industries is a plus
• Well verse in commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
