Country Manager (Freight Forwarding & Logistics)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage nationwide operations to achieve service, operational, and revenue targets.
• Oversee, coach, and develop operational teams while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manage operational budgets and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, priorities, and performance objectives.
• Drive operational efficiency, process improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Monitor and ensure achievement of operational KPIs, financial targets, and budget goals.
• Lead both short-term and long-term operational planning, including contingency planning.
• Work closely with commercial teams to identify new business opportunities and enhance service offerings.
• Support the successful launch of new branches/stations and related public relations activities.
• Partner with senior management on strategic planning and country-level business initiatives.
• Establish effective controls, systems, and processes to support sustainable growth.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of operational activities to ensure compliance and performance standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in freight forwarding, international transportation, airfreight, logistics, or a related industry, including leadership experience.
• Proven track record in operations management and business growth.
• Well verse in financial acumen with experience in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
