Our client is a US MNC, a pioneering leader in providing strategic solutions for consumer goods, manufacturing, construction and aerospace. Due to expansion, they are currently looking for Contract Mechanical Engineer/Assistant Engineer to join their team.
Contract Mechanical Engineer Assistant (6months Contract, conversion to Permanent)
You will work closely with other functional groups in Engineering, Quality and Supply chain and external stakeholders
Description:
- Responsible for proto build and testing as guided by design engineers in the product development
- Create Product Bill of Materials, release to stake holders, and update changes through engineering change notes
- Support in problem solving and root-cause analysis, and solution validation
- Coordinate and track for prototype parts procurement through working with supply chain team
- Support CAD drawings release to stakeholders and update versions in the system
- Support manufacturing and quality requests on engineering matters
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3-5 years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in electro-mechanical and technological industry
- Experience and knowledge in root-cause analysis, and problem-solving tools and processes
- Knowledge of mechanical CAD systems, and ability to understand drawings and its contents
- Experience in working with suppliers in proto-type procurement, building prototypes, and testing
- Experience in Product Bill of Material and other engineering documents creation and maintenance
- Knowledge in various engineering materials, and mechanical parts & sub-systems like gear train, and paper/media feed systems.
- Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
