Job Scope:
As a Build Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the technical aspects of project development and implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, project manager, and stakeholders to ensure the successful build and deployment needed for the project. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of developers including both onshore and offshore, managing development timelines, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of the project's build phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of developers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure team members are aligned with project goals and deliverables.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee the technical design and development of software solutions, ensuring they meet project requirements, industry best practices, and security standards.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with project manager and build manager to define project scope, objectives, and timelines. Develop detailed plans for the build phase, including resource allocation and task assignments.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce coding standards, code reviews, and testing processes to maintain code quality and ensure the reliability of the developed solutions.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to the build phase and work proactively to mitigate them. Communicate risks to project stakeholders as necessary.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, including developers, testers and business analysts to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the build process, including code repositories, technical specifications, and deployment procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Recommend process improvements and technological advancements to enhance project efficiency.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's Degree is preferable).
- Proven experience in software development, with at least 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Solid knowledge of software development methodologies, programming languages, and development tools.
- 6+ years programming experience with Java, Spring, SpringBoot, SpringBatch, RESTful Web Services, Microservices, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
- Possesses problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
