Job Scope:

• Gather requirements and prepare design documents for enhancements to applications in scope
• Provide solutions and alternatives to business requirements
• Identify areas for improvements in applications
• Perform in-depth impact analysis of requested changes to existing applications
• Perform the necessary testing at various stages of the development cycle, support user testing, and obtain user sign-off on the test results
• Perform regression testing to ensure systems are not impacted by any new software updates, patches and/or new releases.
• Perform and support the deployment of tested software updates, patches and/or new releases into the various non-production environments (Dev, UAT, and Pre-PROD)
• Perform data analysis, investigation, reconciliation as part of application changes
• Perform effort estimation, work planning for enhancements
• Perform Knowledge Transfer and training of completed enhancements to users and application support teams
• Work with users on issue clarifications, resolutions
• Escalate issues to management within an appropriate time
• Adopt continuous improvement approach by recommending improvements in the processes
• Must comply with client's standards such as the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), IT security policies, best practices, procedures & guidelines

Job Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, IT, Business/Finance or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience working closely with clients providing required services
• Experience in maintaining and developing applications
• Knowledge and understanding about application architecture and how they interact with various systems
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Able to coach, guide and mentor junior members in the team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle communication at different levels and diverse population
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, Unix (and any other programming language background) with experience in working through data analysis/issues
• Financial Services background (Capital Markets, Investment, Wealth Management)
