Role Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to enable change within an organizational context by supporting better decision-making through the definition of needs and business requirements. This includes supporting delivery, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management, while working independently on fast-paced projects and/or enhancements across a range of project portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify organizational challenges and opportunities by consulting with business representatives during the idea generation and framing stages of the project lifecycle or enhancement initiation, ensuring high-level business requirements are gathered.
- Plan and coordinate business analysis activities and assess the progress of analysis and estimation efforts.
- Facilitate effective workshops by understanding stakeholders' work environments and distinguishing between their needs and wants.
- Define requirements for projects and/or enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Perform decision and gap analyses between business requirements and stakeholder needs.
- Provide technical advice to the business and support technology delivery by clarifying requirements, current system functionality, workflows, and process design.
- Support user acceptance testing and change management activities during solution rollout.
- Plan and produce high-quality communications that are clear, concise, and tailored to stakeholder preferences.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or any equivalent
- At least 7 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, including 4 years in the banking sector with exposure to AML and KYC.
- Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Business, or related fields.
- Significant experience in a digital/technology-focused business analysis role.
- Experience working on technology projects within the banking or financial services industry, preferably in Risk & Compliance (e.g., KYC, AML, CDD, Fraud Management).
- Proven experience managing change requests and enhancements, with excellent client management skills to ensure timely delivery.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, and tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret information, identify patterns and trends, and inform decisions and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, build good professional relationships, and influence outcomes.
- Excellent documentation skills for business requirements.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels with clarity and impact.
