Our client is a US Manufacturing MNC and is a renowned leader in materials engineering solutions. They are currently seeking a Buyer to join them on an exciting career journey.
Contract Buyer (Renewable Contract)
Plan, order, schedule and monitor the delivery of materials and equipment needed to setup the new manufacturing site. You will coordinate and work with quality, engineering, planning, and manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.
Execute sourcing strategy to meet the company's business growth and sourcing requirements. Identify, develop, and manage effective relationship with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
Communicates engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
Schedule and coordinate with suppliers to ensure purchasing activities are completed in a timely manner. The activities include getting quotations, raise shopping cart in system and order status tracking
Complete documentation activities required from prevailing corporate requirement (ie. Procurement, EHS etc) to facilitate purchasing process.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives within Logistics/Distribution and Supply Chain
Monitors the cost, schedule and performance aspects of suppliers. Assist with receiving, inventory management and payment closure
Coordinate and work with quality, engineering, machining, and assembly operations to ensure on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues. Understand long-lead drivers and develop lead time mitigation strategies
Actively mediates and partners with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues for assigned product groups. Escalate issues to Commodity Business Managers when necessary.
Point of contact to coordinate movement and relocation of materials and equipment across multiple sites
Requirements
- Bachelor in Business, or related.
- 3years of experience in sourcing, manging suppliers from manufacturing/semicond industry ideally
- Proficient with MS OFFICE & SAP system

Contract for 12months (subject to renewal basis)
Salary: up to S$5500per month
