Contract Mechanical Engineer | Petrochemical
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and provide engineering solutions to manufacturing equipment.
Provide engineering expertise to Process, Maintenance, Technical and other functions of the manufacturing complex
Review and approve MOCs for fixed equipment and piping.
Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure that such deviations will be processed according to Company procedures; maintains Deviation Control Log.
Plan and carry out timely, comprehensive and accurate inspections on the condition of fixed equipment/piping via on-stream risk based monitoring programs and downtime inspection activities based on standards.
Generate Inspection reports with short term and long term recommendations. Update inspection records into inspection history database
Troubleshoot equipment failure and provide appropriate recommendations.
Perform Level 1 FFS assessments, retirement thickness calculations, piping stress analysis for simple layouts, review and approve hot tap procedures etc.
Provide quality assurance to Maintenance works in accordance with applicable Codes, Standards and Specifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
5-10years of relevant experience, preferably from Oil & Gas, petrochemical industries
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
