Job Scope
The Cyber Security Engineer is a Level 2 position responsible for cybersecurity operational support and maintaining the organization's network security infrastructure. You will support day-to-day cybersecurity operational activities including incident handling, firewall flow management, proxy management, remote access support, IP/VPN support, vulnerability remediation, etc. You will also support LANs, WANs, and VPNs to determine the efficacy and efficiency of routers, firewalls, IPS, proxies, and load balancers to ensure their optimal functionality. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Production Level 2 support for network and security infrastructure.
  • Handle incident, request, and change management.
  • Network security IT assets/CMDB management, including routers, firewalls, local area networks (LANs), wide-area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), and any other related network devices.
  • Prepare and install all firewalls, VPNs, routers, servers, and IDS scanning technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision for Level 1 security teams.
  • Take charge of any security awareness programs and educational efforts to better prepare non-IT personnel.
  • Respond immediately to any security-related incidents (e.g., data breaches, viruses, phishing scams).
  • Update and upgrade the organization's security systems as needed.



Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Studies.
  • 6 or more years of experience in managing IT systems environments, preferably with at least 2 years of experience in financial institutions.
  • 3 years of work experience as a cybersecurity support engineer.
  • Good understanding of network topology (LAN/WAN/MAN/VPN).
  • Good understanding of network security (encryption, certificates, Kerberos, etc.).
  • Knowledge and/or hands-on working experience with emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and logical skills.
  • Customer service-oriented and an excellent team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure and a commitment to solving issues.
  • Open to working in different time zones (i.e., Paris, New York, or Asia time zones).
  • May be required to be available for on-call support during non-business hours and/or on weekend.
