Responsibilities

  • Maintain a 24x7 presence through rotating shifts to uphold the continuous operation of a large-scale data center and its critical facilities.
  • Conduct round-the-clock monitoring of Building Management Systems (BMS), critical equipment, and ancillary systems encompassing fire safety, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and first responder for all onsite operational incidents, providing Level 1 escalation support. Engage in hands-on troubleshooting and immediate repairs of mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment.
  • Swiftly address and fulfill remote hands requests within defined Operational and Service Level Agreements.
  • Thoroughly document and promptly update all pertinent activities and requests within the STT GDC Web Portal ticketing system, adhering to ITIL standards.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to data center safety, security, and customer support protocols.
  • Supervise onsite security operations, including oversight of procedures, staffing, and proficiency in security software systems.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the activities of internal contractors and vendors onsite, including the review of Permit-To-Work (PTW) documents, resource scheduling, and enforcement of safety protocols and best practices.
  • Plan and execute both preventive and reactive measures to maintain the operational integrity of the data center environment.
    Requirements
  • Possess an ITE or Diploma in Computing/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of applicable work experience in a 24x7 data center or facility operations environment, or alternatively, a recent graduate with qualifications pertinent to building infrastructure.
    * Demonstrate a foundational understanding of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems and Network Infrastructure.
