Our client is a US MNC in the oil and gas sector.
The Electrical Engineer candidate is responsible for assisting in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions for sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures or Surface Equipment products. The Electrical Engineer also assists in planning and conducting project objectives in a timely fashion.
Essential responsibilities and duties include the following:
Analyze, design, develop and maintain Surface Equipment products and assist in their commercialization and future lifecycle.
Design and implement digitalization initiative in Surface Equipment in line with industry 4.0 vision.
Build prototypes, products and systems suitable for testing. Set up and run lab simulations. Design and implement tests, document results and develop presentations. Provide timely corrective actions on defects.
Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, and standards related to Surface Equipment.
Create and maintain product documentation. Provide support to field operations. Provide user training as required.
Specific deliverables and responsibilities:
Design and validate remote monitoring systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Provide technical support to the existing logging cabin fleet of surface equipment
Ensure compliance to certification of existing and future fleet of surface units
Design and qualify manufacturing for new surface equipment
Experience in the following areas is required:
2 years experience in electrical system design and component selection
Good understanding of electrical systems:
DC and AC systems
Transformer / UPS
Electrical motor control and selection
PLC control and selection
Ability to understand and design electrical diagrams and logic diagrams
Good problem-solving skills
Some business travel may be required
Experience in the following areas is desirable:
Understanding of Explosive atmosphere standards (IECEX / ATEX)
Experience in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
Evidence of previous projects in electrical design
Experience in manufacturing of electrical systems
Experience in conducting/leading projects
Experience in PLC programming
Self-driven and motivated
