Responsibilities
- Job functions covers all registered entities within the manufacturing group in Singapore
- To oversee day-to-day activities of management accounting function to secure accuracy, relevance and timely of management reports
- Ensure payroll is processed and paid in timely manner
- Responsible for the monthly close process, prepare and present financial and management reports with analysis and commentaries for local and corporate senior management, Dashboard.
- Report results to Corporate headquarters for consolidation
- To identify, analyze and evaluate areas for improvement of profit with particular to cost evaluation and methodology; analyze cost and production variances using Real Cash methodology
- To prepare and submit budget and quarterly forecasts, short-term and long-term business forecasts and related reports
- To monitor and control operating costs and capital expenditure of the manufacturing plant to ensure staying within budget
- Responsible for Singapore's R&D Controlling and Reporting
- Responsible for the management and control of site cash flow, liaison with Corporate Treasury on funding requirements
- Successfully liaison with EDB to extend our pioneer status as well as grants provided by EDB; ensure successful completion of audit and submission of the mandatory claims to the EDB
- Review and implement transfer pricing regularly with Corporate Transfer Pricing Team
- To continuously review working processes within factory to identify potential risk and propose risk management solution
- Continuously identify areas of improvement, exploring opportunities to simplify and optimize business processes and eliminate non-value added activities in the department
Requirements
- BA in Accountancy or Business Administration, alternatively an equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of accounting and financial principles and procedures
- At least 7 years of accounting and controlling experience
- Experience in a manufacturing industry and global experience is a plus
- Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel
- Excellent accounting software user (SAP) and administration skills
- Experience with creating financial statements, cost reports and analysis
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year end close process
