Seeking a seasoned IT Project Manager to lead initiatives focused on enhancing cash management and remittance systems within a financial institution. The role involves overseeing cross-functional projects across Tokyo and Singapore, aligning with regional strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring robust governance and performance in financial system delivery.


Technical Leadership

  • Lead ongoing IT projects involving diverse financial systems to improve collaboration, performance, security, and service quality.
  • Plan and manage end-to-end implementation of IT initiatives that involve both technical and non-technical teams across Tokyo and Singapore.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to regional teams and promote alignment and collaboration across cross-functional stakeholders.


Risk Management & Governance

  • Proactively escalate and resolve critical issues, ensuring senior management and regional headquarters are kept informed.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of internal controls, ensuring robust governance frameworks are in place.


Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the bridge between local users and IT teams to gather business requirements for Forex and other financial systems.
  • Design and implement new solutions or system enhancements based on evolving business needs.
  • Work closely with IT planning functions to align system architecture, standards, and roadmaps with corporate direction.
  • Maintain good coordination with regional and global counterparts to ensure consistency in governance and operational controls.


Project & Financial Management

  • Produce and present regular status reports, project documentation, and executive summaries.
  • Develop budget proposals for project initiatives and work with senior leadership to secure funding.
  • Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams to define comprehensive proposals, clarify roles, and coordinate resource planning.



Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience delivering IT services within a financial institution.
  • Solid understanding of banking services including cash management and remittance systems.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale IT development projects in complex organizational environments.
  • Deep understanding of the IT service landscape within financial institutions.
  • Excellent time management and stakeholder engagement skills, especially for business-as-usual (BAU) IT functions.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across technical and business teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative and accountable mindset.
  • Experience in IT audit, risk, or internal control functions with a solid grasp of systems and processes.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
