Job Scope:
Computer and Systems Administration

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, printers and scanners
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests, providing technical support across the company (local and offshore office)
  • Setting up accounts, rights for new users, following the company procedures
  • Monitoring server room and managing backups tapes
  • Provide End Point Security management at desktop level
  • Maintain all operating systems used by the company
  • Administrating file permissions and user accounts
  • Maintaining all desktops and laptops computers patches (WSUS)

Telephone Services and Video Conferencing Systems

  • Maintaining phone services and video conferencing systems up-to-date and operational
  • Liaising with Group Helpdesk (located offshore) for connecting rooms
  • Helping local users to setup video calls

Helpdesk and Users Support

  • Using Helpdesk software to record and follow-up daily requests and/or incidents
  • Helping local users to liaise with Group Helpdesk for any connection or credentials issues (Applications, External Portal)
  • Helping expat users or company visitors to connect their Group computer (Network Access grants)
  • Helping users to fix any basic computer problem
  • Helping users for desk installation and/or move (cabling)


  • Monitoring daily the Anti-virus platform (EPO) and patches (WSUS), and tracking computers updates
  • Monitoring the threat detections on EPO and reacting in case of computer/server infection
  • Backing HR to register faces and fingerprints on Biostar System
  • Backing QHSE Manager for door access alarm systems
  • Backing up IT Manager for configuring printing access (Fjx)
  • Restoring users files from backup systems (BackupExec)

Documentation and Procedures Writing

  • Maintaining existing documentation and procedures, with the ability to update and/or create new ones, following the company templates
  • Maintaining inventory files and updating it in case of any change (departure/arrival)

Deputizing the IT Manager

  • The IT Officer will have to deputize the IT Manager during his absences (Business travels, Holidays, Medical Leave if any).
  • Will require to do extra tasks in case of emergency and to liaise with HQ .
  • Could execute unusual tasks with IT Manager's guidance (emergency or security issues)

Job Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or equivalent, with 2-6 years of relevant experience providing IT support covering desktop / system / basic network and security issues
  • Good to have experience in Systems (Windows,VmWare, Redhat) and able to liaise with SA about new systems setup and/or migration of existing
  • Computer skills: able to deploy on a mid-scale of 70 computers new Windows 10 Master, migrating user data, emails from current systems to new standard one
  • Email skills: good knowledge of Outlook/Exchange, and if possible Lotus Notes HCL
  • Deployment and scripting skills: ideally hands-on with Active Directory, Powershell and GPO's
  • Assets Management: able to maintain a proper inventory and cartography of NGFE systems and software
  • Training skills: help users to adapt to system/tools changes
  • Good communication skills both spoken & written (for liaising with local users and documentation)
  • Willing to learn even more than his current role e.g. could help the technical team for any new business projects which would include IT actions
  • Accepting to act as a team member to help for any particular emergency operation
