Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering design, drawings, calculations, and analysis
- Check and review purchase specifications, when required
- Review and correct drawings
- Plan, organize and manage engineering activities and feedback crucial project matters
- Review vendor quotations and vendor drawings
- Handle contract-bidding engineering specifications and enquiry
- Monitor the progress of drawings, documents and purchase specifications
- Ensure Class and Contractual requirements are met in design
- Liaise with Production Department to resolve site problems
- Liaise with Project Management Department to ensure on-time delivery of project
- Liaise with Marketing Department on engineering specifications for project bidding
- Interact with customer, vendors and regulatory bodies on engineering design matters
- Direct and guide the activities of subordinates assigned to him
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in marine/ offshore industry
- Knowledge of functional and operational requirements related to design of all types of ships and offshore vessels
- Knowledge on renewable offshore products will be a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering design software (e.g. Tribon, GEMS)
- In-depth knowledge and experience in engineering field
- Well versed with regulatory and class requirements
